Attending the event were Wang Zhuo, Group Director of Administration and Human Resources; Hong Lin, Deputy General Manager of the Pharmaceutical Group; JunBiao Qu, Deputy General Manager of the Pharmaceutical Group, as well as heads of relevant departments.

Dean Hu and his delegation visited Wanbangde China-Africa Science and Technology Park and toured the various production workshops at the headquarters of Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group, thoroughly examining the group’s four major industries, business operations, and product manufacturing processes. They also held a symposium to discuss these topics in detail.

At the symposium, CEO Lin provided a detailed introduction on Wandebang Group's development strategy, core industries, cultural initiatives, and university-enterprise collaborations in the pharmaceutical sector, while also expressing the company's strong desire to deepen its partnership with Taizhou University.

Wanbangde Group's core businesses include aluminum profiles, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and bearings. At the heart of its pharmaceutical operations is Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group, which has strategically positioned itself with a product portfolio that "highlights natural herbal medicines, focusing primarily on cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, and neurological treatments, while also offering complementary products for respiratory and other therapeutic areas." The company’s offerings span multiple treatment fields, including cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, neurological disorders, respiratory conditions, and digestive system ailments.

The company has consistently adhered to an integrated industry-academia-research approach, boasting a well-established platform for technology commercialization. It is home to several prestigious national-level initiatives, including the "Academician Expert Workstation," the "Provincial Enterprise Research Institute for Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Drugs," the "Provincial Enterprise Technology Center," and China's first collaborative innovation alliance among medical institutions, research organizations, and pharmaceutical companies—the Ginkgo Leaf Droplet Pill Medical-Research-Industry Innovation Alliance. Meanwhile, through collaborative research projects and joint talent development programs, the company has forged strategic partnerships with numerous leading domestic and international universities, such as the University of Sydney, Zhejiang University, China Pharmaceutical University, and Taizhou University. Notable examples include the "Zhejiang University-Wanbangde Joint Research Center for Traditional Chinese Medicine Modernization," the "China Pharmaceutical University-Wanbangde Joint Drug R&D Center," and the "Taizhou City-Level Internship Base."

▲ At the meeting, Li Na, head of the Biopharmaceutical Program at the School of Pharmacy of Taizhou University, briefly introduced the school's current program offerings as well as its future academic plans.

At the meeting, Dean Hu stated that industry-university collaboration is a "win-win" model established between enterprises and universities, emphasizing high-quality education, practical industry-academia integration, and mutual sharing of resources and information. He expressed his hope that through this exchange, Wanbangde could provide valuable insights into areas such as student development pathways and curriculum design at Taizhou University’s School of Pharmacy. At the same time, he envisioned that both parties would forge deeper partnerships in talent cultivation and industry-education integration, effectively leveraging their combined strengths and resources for mutual benefit.

Finally, CEO Wang emphasized: First, the Group and its various industry sectors should strengthen collaborative efforts with local institutions of higher learning, making full use of the talent resources right "at our doorstep." Second, both academia and industry should seize this research initiative as an opportunity to embrace fresh ideas and foster innovative thinking. By adopting models such as establishing order-based classes, sharing laboratory facilities, and jointly pursuing research projects, we can develop a deep, integrated talent-training partnership between universities and enterprises. This will ensure a seamless alignment between the university’s educational objectives and Wanbangde Group’s talent needs, ultimately paving the way for a mutually beneficial, win-win collaboration and fostering a robust community of shared growth and development.

Collaborating with industry to build a brighter future together!
