From November 16 to 18, 2018, the "National Clinical Pathway Implementation Management Forum (2018) and the Peking Union Medical College Summit on Standardized Development of China's Clinical Disciplines," guided by the Medical Administration Bureau of the National Health Commission, was successfully held in Chengdu, Sichuan. During the event, a special sub-forum titled "Clinical Pathways and Ginkgo Leaf Droplet Pills in the Treatment of Vascular Diseases" took place, where multiple expert teams presented their latest research advancements and shared clinical insights on using Ginkgo Leaf Droplet Pills for vascular conditions. In closing, Professor Jin Youyu, a renowned Chinese pharmacologist, passionately highlighted his deep interest and strong commitment to Ginkgo-based products, tracing the historical development of Ginkgo preparations both domestically and internationally. He also offered invaluable recommendations and guidance for future research on Ginkgo Leaf Droplet Pills.

From November 16 to 18, 2018, nearly 600 experts and scholars from across China’s medical and healthcare fields gathered in Chengdu, Sichuan, for the "National Clinical Pathway Implementation Management Forum 2018 & Peking Union Medical College-CAMS Joint Summit on Standardized Development of Clinical Disciplines in China." The event was guided by the Medical Administration Bureau of the National Health Commission and co-hosted by the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College, in collaboration with the Chinese Research Hospital Association. This year’s forum focused intensively on the theme of "Clinical Pathway Management and the Standardization of Clinical Discipline Development." The conference was simultaneously broadcast live online, attracting approximately 10,000 medical professionals nationwide who tuned in to learn and engage through the virtual platform.

The "Clinical Pathways and Ginkgo Leaf Dropping Pill Application Forum on Vascular Diseases," held successfully in Hall 1 of the Grand Ballroom on the fifth floor of the Kempinski Hotel Chengdu, served as one of the thematic sessions at the Clinical Pathway Implementation Management Forum.

This sub-forum will leverage the recent research findings and advancements achieved with Ginkgo Biloba Dropping Pills, inviting renowned clinical experts to deliver lectures, unveil and interpret the clinical pathway guidelines for Ginkgo Biloba Dropping Pills, and delve into the latest scientific progress as well as medication-related analyses.

The forum was divided into two sessions. Professor Li Hongge from Tongji Medical College Affiliated Union Hospital of Huazhong University of Science and Technology delivered a presentation titled "Interpreting Vascular Diseases Through Clinical Pathways"; Professor Dong Bo from Shandong Provincial Hospital discussed "The Relationship Between Coronary Heart Disease and Atherosclerosis Development, and Its Treatment in Relation to Endothelial Cell Damage"; and Professor Wang Aiwu from Shandong Provincial Hospital shared insights on "Prescription Analysis of Ginkgo Biloba Dropping Pills, Used Clinically for Many Years at Our Hospital, along with an Evaluation of Their Combined Therapy with Western Medicines for Vascular Diseases." Professor Lin Lika from the Institute of Hospital Management at Wuhan University moderated the second half of the forum. Meanwhile, Professor Gao Rui, also Chief Researcher at the National Engineering Laboratory, presented "A Single-Case Randomized Controlled Trial of Ginkgo Biloba Dropping Pills in Treating Coronary Heart Disease Combined with Impaired Glucose Regulation," while Yu Jinyang, Chief of the Guangdong Provincial Center for Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring, provided a summary report on "Post-Marketing Safety Evaluation Studies of Ginkgo Biloba Dropping Pills."

Experts primarily discussed the interpretation of multiple disease indications for Ginkgo Biloba Dropping Pills as they are incorporated into clinical pathways. They also analyzed and affirmed, based on clinical practice, that Ginkgo Biloba Dropping Pills effectively protect vascular endothelium, improve blood circulation, and address both blood and vessels—aligning perfectly with the traditional Chinese medicine principle of "treating blood vessels and meridians simultaneously." Additionally, attendees exchanged insights on the diverse range of departments and conditions where the medication is used, as well as its proven efficacy. Finally, updates were shared regarding the ongoing single-case randomized controlled trial and post-marketing safety studies being conducted on Ginkgo Biloba Dropping Pills, along with their respective progress and findings. Following this, Zhang Jianbing, Deputy General Manager of Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group, provided an overview of the operational status of the "Ginkgo Biloba Dropping Pills Medical-Research-Business Collaborative Innovation Alliance."

The esteemed guest invited to the conference—Professor Jin Youyu, one of the founding figures of Chinese pharmacology and a renowned Chinese pharmacologist—demonstrated profound interest in our research on Ginkgo Biloba Dropping Pills. He personally attended our event and, despite his advanced age of 92, graciously stood throughout the final session, delivering a valuable 40-minute speech. In his talk, he eloquently explained the philosophical differences between traditional Chinese medicine and Western pharmaceutical approaches, traced the historical development of Ginkgo-based products both domestically and internationally, and expressed his deep enthusiasm and heartfelt concern for Ginkgo-related products. Moreover, he offered invaluable insights and guidance for future research on Ginkgo Biloba Dropping Pills. We sincerely admire and deeply appreciate Professor Jin’s unwavering dedication and selfless commitment to China’s medical and pharmaceutical advancements, even in his later years.

The sub-forum also brought together numerous clinical experts from across the country to exchange ideas and discuss areas related to the application of Ginkgo Biloba Dropping Pills in vascular diseases.
