This June marks the 23rd National "Safety Production Month," with the theme: "Everyone Talks Safety, Everyone Knows How to Respond—Keep Life Paths Clear!" To implement the theme of Safety Production Month, Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group held its 2024 "Emergency Rescue Skills" competition on June 22. The event aimed to enhance employees' emergency response and handling capabilities by combining competition with practical training, ultimately boosting their ability to tackle real-life situations and ensuring safe operations for the company.
The event featured four exciting events: women’s 50m oil drum firefighting, men’s 50m oil drum firefighting, "Safety at Will," and the men’s two-person, two-hose water-target-shooting drill. On the field, competitors showcased remarkable teamwork and determination, delivering thrilling, high-stakes performances that felt like an exhilarating "emergency blockbuster."
50m oil drum fire suppression
"Ready, set, go!" With the starter's command, the contestants swiftly donned their fire-resistant suits and grabbed their extinguishers, charging straight toward the finish line. They first checked that the extinguisher’s pressure was within the normal range, then inverted the unit several times to loosen the dry powder inside. Next, they removed the lead seal, pulled out the safety pin, gripped the nozzle with one hand and the lever with the other, and aimed directly at the base of the oil drum’s flames—delivering a swift, precise sweep of suppressant. The entire sequence unfolded smoothly and efficiently, extinguishing the blaze in record time.

Safety, wherever I go
The project features multiple participants who position themselves at the four corners of a large chessboard and roll dice to move accordingly. During their moves, if they land on a "problem box," players must randomly draw a slip of paper from the box and complete either a safety knowledge quiz or demonstrate a skill based on its content. Combining competition with fun, the event creates an energetic atmosphere, filled with cheers and shouts of encouragement that rise and fall throughout the venue.

Men's two-person, two-strap water target-shooting routine
On the field, the team members were full of fighting spirit and worked seamlessly together: one teammate grabbed the hose, tossed it toward the target area, and quickly connected it to the outdoor fire hydrant, while the other linked the hose to the water gun. Together, they coordinated perfectly to spray water at the target, fully demonstrating the team's advanced skills in real-world emergency rescue operations.

Emergency rescue serves as the last line of defense in preventing and mitigating accidents. During this competition, each participant underwent a comprehensive, high-standard evaluation of their emergency rescue skills and capabilities. Moving forward, the company will continue to rigorously implement the safety production principle of "safety first, prevention-oriented, and comprehensive management," while consistently strengthening our safety workforce and enhancing training programs. This ensures we stay prepared for any potential risks, fostering a robust safety culture that safeguards the enterprise effectively—building an impenetrable barrier against hazards before they arise.
