Tech Month | The Inaugural "Tech Month" Event Launch Conference of Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group Successfully Held

In 2024, the National Science and Technology Week, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Central Publicity Department, and the China Association for Science and Technology, will take place from May 25 to June 1, under the theme "Promoting the Spirit of Scientists and Inspiring Innovation Across Society."
In response to the national call to strengthen the company’s science and technology culture and enhance all employees’ awareness of innovation, Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group held the launch ceremony for its first-ever "Science and Technology Month" event on May 11. This year's event is themed "Bringing Together Industry Leaders to Drive Growth, and Pioneering R&D Innovation for a Brighter Future." Members of the pharmaceutical group's management team, all staff from the R&D center, and supervisors and above from each department or workshop attended the meeting.
At the meeting, attendees watched a promotional video for National Science and Technology Workers' Day, experiencing the vibrant atmosphere of scientific research across society.
Zhang Yongkang from the Innovative Drug R&D Department provided a detailed overview of the company's Science and Technology Association, covering three key areas: the association's general overview, a review of past activities, and plans for the future. Since its establishment, the corporate science association has played a vital role in supporting the company’s core objectives—driving technological innovation, fostering scientific exchange, enhancing employees' scientific literacy, identifying and recommending innovative talent, and inspiring both creativity and enthusiasm for innovation across the organization.
At the meeting, Lin Hong, Deputy General Manager of the company, delivered a speech and solemnly announced the official launch of the first "Science and Technology Month" event for Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group. Speaking about this year's "Science and Technology Month," she emphasized:
First, we hope that through this "Science and Technology Month" event, innovative science communication efforts can be effectively put into practice. The company adheres to a people-oriented principle and is committed to strengthening its science and technology culture. By offering a wide range of tech-related activities and providing robust resource support, we drive high-quality advancements in research and innovation. Through a combination of education, training, and hands-on experience, we enhance employees' understanding and ability to apply innovative technologies effectively. At the same time, the company invests in cutting-edge technologies and equipment to empower teams to pursue groundbreaking research, ultimately boosting the organization’s overall R&D capabilities and fostering sustained, steady growth.
Second, we must embrace social responsibility and accountability, actively participating in local scientific and technological development as well as science communication and education initiatives. As a member of the Taizhou City "Five Excellence" Enterprise Science and Technology Association, the company will promote scientific knowledge and inspire public—especially young people—to develop an interest in science and technology and foster innovative thinking. Through open science forums, workshops, and community engagement activities, we aim to cultivate more tech-savvy talent for society and contribute significantly to the region's economic and social development.
At the meeting, Chen Lü from the Formulation R&D Department briefed all attendees on the plan for this year's "Science and Technology Month" event. The activities will primarily consist of five key components: an academic exchange conference, the unveiling ceremony for the Academician Workstation, postdoctoral research presentations, a scientific knowledge-sharing session, and a parent-child event titled "Step into Enterprises, Get Close to Research," designed to foster a stronger research mindset across the organization and help embed the culture of innovation at its core.
After the event introduction concluded, departments and workshops enthusiastically responded to the company’s “Science and Technology Month” initiative by stepping up to sign the themed banner, demonstrating their commitment to driving technological innovation and helping the company build its reputation as a "diamond-like" leader.
Science and technology are the primary driving force of productivity. Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group will seize the opportunity presented by "Science and Technology Month," aiming to "drive the company’s sustained growth and solidify its leading position in the industry."
