On the morning of July 27, Vice Mayor Yan Shiping of Wenling City visited Wanbang Pharmaceutical to conduct a research visit on pharmaceutical production and quality management, accompanied by relevant officials from the Municipal Health Bureau, the Food and Drug Administration, the Industrial Economy Bureau, and other departments. Chairman and General Manager Zhao Shouming, along with Vice General Managers Yu Qingming and Lin Hong, and other company leaders, were present to welcome and brief the delegation.
At 9 a.m., Vice Mayor Yan and his delegation arrived at Wanbang Pharmaceutical, beginning their visit by touring the solid dosage production facility. They inspected the manufacturing process of essential medicines as well as the implementation of electronic monitoring codes on drug packaging. During the subsequent research meeting, Chairman Zhao Shouming briefed the city government leaders present on Wanbang Pharmaceutical’s growth journey and future prospects, while also highlighting the challenges the company currently faces. Vice Mayor Yan listened attentively to Zhao Shouming’s report and, addressing the specific difficulties hindering Wanbang’s development, urged relevant departments to provide robust support and assistance in resolving these issues. He further outlined three key priorities for the company’s future growth: First, strengthen quality management by refining all internal systems and ensuring pharmaceutical production quality and safety from the very beginning. Second, enhance service levels by investing in employee training and skill development, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality customer service to boost sales performance. Third, ramp up marketing efforts by leveraging media channels such as television and the internet to elevate the company’s brand image, paving the way for sustainable and healthy business expansion. Vice Mayor Yan emphasized that Wanbang Pharmaceutical has clearly defined its strategic direction, excels in product refinement, and minimizes environmental impact—a commendable approach. He noted that while the company’s five-year development plan is highly inspiring, there are still several areas where the enterprise must take proactive steps to address underlying challenges. Following this, Zheng Fuyou, Director of the Drug Administration Bureau, issued three critical directives to the company: 1. Prioritize rigorous quality control across all operations. 2. Uphold integrity and transparency in every aspect of the business. 3. Ensure safe and compliant production practices at all times.
