Directions for Use and Dosage: Intramuscular injection or intravenous drip. Administer 4 mg once, with a daily dose of 8–12 mg. For intravenous drip, dilute with 5% dextrose injection before use.
Indications: For patients with chronic bronchitis and other respiratory conditions such as asthma, bronchiectasis, silicosis, and others who experience thick, sticky mucus that is difficult to cough up, especially when oral administration is challenging.
Pharmacology and Toxicology: This product exhibits a strong mucolytic effect, breaking down the polysaccharide cellulose in mucus and thereby thinning the phlegm. It also inhibits the synthesis of glycoproteins by goblet cells and mucous glands, reducing sialic acid levels in the mucus and lowering its viscosity for easier expectoration. Additionally, this product promotes the ciliary movement of the respiratory tract's mucosal lining.
