Before the event began, Lin Hong, Deputy General Manager of Quality, delivered the opening remarks. She first expressed gratitude to the dedicated team working behind the scenes. She emphasized that pharmaceutical quality is directly tied to the health and well-being of the public. As a manufacturer of sterile drugs, she noted that we must not only deeply understand and fully integrate GMP quality standards into our operations but also embed them as a core part of our company culture, influencing employees’ daily tasks. This year, to elevate our quality management practices, ensure consistent product quality, and strengthen all staff members’ understanding and application of domestic and international pharmaceutical regulations, the company has invited a team of expert trainers to conduct specialized workshops. To assess how effectively employees have absorbed this knowledge, the company has designed a knowledge competition that aligns seamlessly with the themes of these training sessions. As part of the company’s ongoing Quality Month initiatives, the GMP Knowledge Competition has already entered its second round. Lin Hong encouraged every department to contribute their ideas and suggestions, aiming to make this year’s Quality Month even more engaging, dynamic, and inclusive—reaching every single employee. She urged everyone to embrace the spirit of "Quality awareness lives in my heart, and product quality is in my hands," while also expressing her hope that each team will showcase both skill and sportsmanship during the competition.
The tense and intense atmosphere at the scene clearly demonstrated how seriously each participating team took this competition. Facing the host’s sharp and probing questions, contestants responded with quick thinking—some confidently delivering flawless answers, while others looked visibly stumped, hesitating before answering. After the first two rounds of "must-answer" and "shared-answer" challenges, though still testing their skills, the competitors already began to showcase their sharp wit and strategic edge. The scoreboard remained fiercely competitive, with teams trading leads as the excitement built higher and higher. Meanwhile, the audience actively joined in, eagerly participating in the interactive Q&A segments. The event reached one thrilling climax after another, leaving everyone thoroughly captivated and fully immersed in this electrifying battle of knowledge—a truly captivating and spectacular intellectual showdown unfolding right before our eyes.
During the most exciting "Quick Response" and "Risk" rounds, team members eagerly prepared themselves, ready to give it their all. The Quick Response challenge required answering questions within a tight 20-second window—early responses or incorrect answers would result in point deductions. Facing both challenges and opportunities, teams temporarily trailing on the scoreboard refused to back down, launching an intense comeback effort. To secure more points, contestants reacted swiftly, quickly pressing the buzzer to answer questions without hesitation, delivering their responses almost instinctively—a testament to their solid professional skills. In the decisive "Risk" round, each team fully showcased their teamwork and collective wisdom. After heated discussions, they ultimately reached a unanimous decision, carefully applying their expertise to craft well-reasoned answers. Finally, the judging panel delivered a fair and impartial verdict.
After 4 hours of intense competition, the QA team from the company’s headquarters ultimately claimed victory, while the Integrated Team and the Quality Department team from the API Plant secured second and third places, respectively. The company’s judging panel presented generous prizes to the winning teams, leaving the delighted participants beaming with joy. This fun yet educational activity was warmly praised by employees for its ability to combine learning with entertainment.
Finally, Executive Deputy General Manager Chen An delivered a closing speech. He began by praising the successful organization of this year’s GMP knowledge competition. He emphasized that the event played a vital role in enhancing employees’ capabilities for independent innovation and teamwork, encouraging them to proactively master GMP principles and job-specific knowledge, thereby fostering a robust, company-wide learning environment. He also outlined new expectations for quality management, stressing that every workshop and department must prioritize quality management efforts, continuously strengthen communication and collaboration, and remain committed to innovation as the driving force behind the ongoing refinement and improvement of SOPs and deviation management practices. Moreover, he highlighted the importance of effectively implementing practical training programs tailored to critical roles in quality management, ensuring that all employees can elevate their proficiency and contribute to higher-quality outcomes. Looking ahead, he noted that in the coming years, the company will invest heavily in building a state-of-the-art generic drug production facility. Once operational, this facility will create numerous high-end career opportunities open to the broader community. Guided by the company’s commitment to prioritizing internal talent development, we will carefully select and promote outstanding employees from within—those with solid technical expertise, a strong innovative mindset, and proven hands-on skills.
