Wanbangde Pharmaceutical R&D Center Building Successfully Tops Out

On September 5, with the final pour of concrete on the rooftop completed, the main structural work of the Wanbande Pharmaceutical Group R&D Center building project was successfully topped out! This milestone marks another critical phase in the project’s construction, propelling the overall engineering progress forward and signaling a significant step toward the next stage of development for Wanbande Pharmaceutical—as the company embarks on a new era of growth.
The R&D Center building kicked off its project design, site exploration, and other preliminary approval processes on December 30, 2015. Since the official commencement of construction in September 2017, thanks to the joint efforts of all involved parties—including design teams, explorers, supervisors, and contractors—the project has steadily advanced over the past year and a half. As a result, the building’s main structure was successfully topped out, marking a significant milestone in Wanbangde Pharmaceutical’s history of growth and development.
Throughout the entire construction process of the R&D Center building, we received collaboration and strong support from numerous stakeholders. The company’s Infrastructure Department, together with all construction contractors, firmly embraced the concept of safety-first development, strictly adhering to safety guidelines and red lines while enhancing safety awareness among workers on the construction site. This approach fostered a culture of "Safety First, Quality Supreme," ensuring both safety and quality remained top priorities. Meanwhile, leaders at all levels have placed great emphasis on the project’s quality, safety, and progress, actively visiting the site to oversee operations and create an ideal environment for smooth project advancement. Moving forward, based on the overall project timeline, we will kick off subcontracted tasks such as interior finishing and installation work. The R&D Center building is expected to officially become operational in the second half of 2019.
The Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group R&D Center Building Project is located at No. 28 Baizhang North Road, Chengdong Subdistrict, Wenling City, built on a reserved plot to the west of the existing Wanbangde Pharmaceutical factory area. The project boasts a total investment of 198 million yuan, with 70 million yuan allocated specifically for the research and development of consistency-evaluated products and new drugs, and fixed asset investments totaling 123 million yuan. The R&D center building will stand 17 stories tall, featuring a total floor area of 20,609.09 square meters. Upon completion, the project will introduce 180 units/sets of advanced testing equipment, including online TOC analyzers, X-ray powder diffractometers, and sterile isolation systems, enabling the company to conduct cutting-edge research and development in chemical APIs and formulations, as well as natural drug product lines.
The Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group R&D Center Building Project is a key initiative aimed at enhancing the company’s corporate image, strengthening its core competitiveness, elevating its overall research capabilities, and establishing a smart manufacturing base—laying a solid foundation for driving the company’s transformation and upgrade.
