A delegation led by Li Yunlong, Executive Vice President of the China Association for Pharmaceutical Regulatory Research, visited and inspected Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group.

On October 19, Li Yunlong, Executive Vice President of the China Association for Pharmaceutical Regulatory Research, along with Vice President and Secretary-General Shi Liqiang, and Deputy Director of the Office Zhang Yuanyuan, conducted an on-site inspection of Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group. They were accompanied by Tong Qingbo, Director of the Wenling Municipal Administration for Market Regulation, and Jiang Zuowei, Deputy Director. Meanwhile, Zhao Shouming, Chairman of the company, warmly welcomed Executive Vice President Li Yunlong and his delegation, and a symposium was held to discuss key topics.
Executive Vice Chairman Li Yunlong and his delegation first visited the company’s product showroom and then the Party-building Activity Center. Afterwards, accompanied by Deputy General Manager Chen An, they toured the outsourced production area of the Ginkgo Leaf Droplet Pill manufacturing facility. During the visit, Executive Vice Chairman Li Yunlong gained a detailed understanding of the company’s core product—Ginkgo Leaf Droplet Pills—including everything from raw material selection and production processes to quality assurance measures and final product delivery. He highly praised Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group for its rigorous adherence to GMP standards in production, unwavering commitment to maintaining top-notch drug quality, and continuous innovation in pharmaceutical technology.
At the symposium, Chairman Zhao Shouming highlighted the planning and development plan for Wanbangde Health Town. Over the next few years, the company will invest heavily to build a 1-square-kilometer eco-friendly health service park integrating pharmaceuticals, medical devices, high-end healthcare and elderly care, specialized schools, and leisure facilities. Vice General Manager Chen An provided an overview of the company’s current status, recent key R&D projects, and its growth objectives for the next five years. He noted that in recent years, the company’s R&D team has shifted its focus toward secondary product development—such as exploring new applications for its flagship product, Ginkgo Biloba Dropping Pills, which was originally developed for a different purpose. Additionally, the company is placing strong emphasis on advancing multiple formulations of its core product, Huperzine A, including injectable solutions, oral tablets, and sustained-release preparations. Looking ahead, Chen An emphasized that the market potential and application prospects for Huperzine A-based products are virtually limitless. Chen An also stated that over the next five years, the group headquarters will seize the immense opportunities presented by the booming healthcare industry, accelerating the company’s transformation and upgrading while ramping up investments in technological innovation. The goal is to achieve the strategic objective of entering the top 100 Chinese pharmaceutical companies by the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan period.
Li Yunlong, Executive Vice Chairman, outlined the association's objectives, operational mechanisms, and management philosophy. During the meeting, both sides engaged in an in-depth discussion, focusing on critical issues in China’s pharmaceutical safety oversight and management, exploring practical pathways toward achieving collaborative governance of drug safety across society, and emphasizing corporate integrity as a key starting point. Both parties expressed their commitment to forging a strong partnership in the field of pharmaceutical safety regulation—leveraging each other’s strengths—to jointly build a robust platform. Together, they aim to contribute significantly to the healthy development of China’s pharmaceutical industry and advance the cause of societal co-governance for enhanced drug safety in the country.
