On the afternoon of June 6, 2016, Yu Yigang, head of the Provincial Multi-City Joint Environmental Inspection Team, visited Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group to inspect its environmental protection efforts. He was accompanied by leaders including Xiang Genfa, Director of Wenling City’s Environmental Protection Bureau; Pan Yunhui, Deputy Director; and Zhu Yao, Chief of the Pollution Control Division.
Accompanied by Ye Jianguo, the company's Deputy General Manager, the inspection team first toured the company’s exhibition hall to gain an overview of our organization. They then conducted on-site inspections of the initial rainwater pond, hazardous solid waste storage facility, emergency spill containment basin, and wastewater treatment plant. During the visit, Ye Jianguo briefed the leaders on the company’s ongoing rainwater network renovation, standardized management of hazardous waste, and the smooth operation of the wastewater treatment plant.
The Director of the Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, Xiang Genfa, briefed the inspection team on Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group's efforts and achievements in environmental protection. Vice Director Pan Yunhui then highlighted the company's comprehensive work in managing "three wastes." During the inspection of the hazardous solid waste storage facility, the team noted that the company’s hazardous waste disposal management was well-organized, with clear zoning, proper labeling, and complete documentation—despite the significantly high inventory levels in the warehouse. At the same time, they pointed out that due to the limited processing capacity of Taizhou Dechang Environmental Protection Co., Ltd., coupled with Linhai City being in a critical phase of its environmental model-building initiative, Dechang’s ability to handle hazardous waste from neighboring cities and counties has been constrained. As a result, many local enterprises now face substantial stockpiles of hazardous waste in their own facilities.
Finally, team leader Yu Yigang acknowledged that our company’s current achievements are a direct result of its strong commitment to environmental protection. He urged the company to further strengthen safety production and environmental conservation efforts, continuously striving for improvement—and, most importantly, taking concrete actions to ensure the smooth hosting of the G20 Summit.
