Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group Holds Special Meeting on Lean Management

On January 20, Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group held a special work conference focused on refined management. Chen Yan, Assistant to the General Manager, along with managers from various functional departments and relevant staff, attended the kickoff meeting. The event also featured Chai Hongying, a management expert from Shanghai Huisheng Consulting Company, as a guest speaker.
At the meeting, Chen Yan, Assistant to the General Manager, elaborated in detail on the theme of enhancing Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group's refined management capabilities, with a focus on performance appraisal and management. He highlighted the significant impact that implementing effective performance management and appraisal systems can have on helping the company achieve its strategic goals. Chen also shared with attendees the specific implementation plan for Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group’s performance appraisal system. Chen emphasized that performance appraisal and management are designed to comprehensively, systematically, and scientifically assess, analyze, and evaluate both employees' work behaviors and outcomes. This process goes beyond merely evaluating individual performance or work quality—it also enables Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group to purposefully and systematically observe employees' personal qualities, traits, and characteristics in their daily lives and professional roles. Furthermore, Chen pointed out during the meeting that by adopting performance appraisal and management methods tailored to the unique characteristics of Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group, the company can identify existing gaps in its operational and production management processes. From there, actionable solutions can be developed to strengthen the company’s management foundation, ultimately fostering a standardized, professional, procedural, and systematic management framework. This approach will drive innovation and elevate Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group’s internal management practices to new heights.
Finally, Chai Hongying, a management expert from Shanghai Huisheng Consulting, provided a detailed explanation of Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group’s performance evaluation system. She also briefly shared examples of companies that have successfully implemented effective performance assessment and management practices. Chai emphasized that performance evaluation is a crucial component of the company’s refined management approach—and serves as a powerful incentive tool for enhancing the organization’s core competitiveness and boosting employee motivation. She concluded by stressing that the company must continue to achieve greater growth through rigorous oversight and effective implementation of its performance evaluation and management strategies.
As of today, thanks to the joint efforts of the Administrative Center and the consulting firm, a comprehensive set of performance evaluation metrics has been fully integrated and distributed to all departments. Each department is now required to provide information to the evaluation team based on these metrics. Moving forward, the evaluation team will use this information to assess the performance of each department.
