Wenling Vice Mayor Zhang Wenyang visits Wanbang Pharmaceutical for on-site work.

On the morning of January 17, 2013, Zhang Wenyang, Vice Mayor of Wenling City, led representatives from the Municipal Government Office, the Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, the Bureau of Land and Resources, the Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Environmental Protection Bureau, the Administrative Enforcement Bureau, the Construction Industry Bureau, and the Industrial Park Management Committee—along with other relevant department heads—to visit Wanbang Pharmaceutical for an on-site meeting. The group was there to discuss and address specific challenges Wanbang Pharmaceutical is facing as it undergoes transformation and upgrading. Wanbang Pharmaceutical’s Chairman and General Manager, Zhao Shouming, along with heads of related departments, welcomed the delegation and provided a detailed report. Vice Mayor Zhang Wenyang became the first city leader to visit the company this year, following a similar inspection by senior officials from Taizhou City and Wenling City late last year. Meanwhile, the heads of the various municipal departments were also making their first-ever on-site visit to Wanbang Pharmaceutical this year, directly engaging in problem-solving efforts. The arrival of Vice Mayor Zhang Wenyang and his team served as a significant boost to Wanbang Pharmaceutical’s ongoing initiatives in entrepreneurship and innovation.
At the research meeting, Chairman Zhao Shouming briefed the municipal government and leaders from various departments on the progress of Wanbang Pharmaceutical's transformation and upgrade initiatives. To ensure the successful completion of the technical renovation project for the Ginkgo Biloba Droplet Pill production line this year, Wanbang Pharmaceutical plans to construct a 12,000-square-meter production facility. As a result, the company has requested the municipal government to coordinate and address several overlapping challenges that may arise during the construction process. Vice Mayor Zhang Wenyang carefully listened to the report presented by Chairman Zhao and other company executives, then engaged each department head in on-site discussions to gather their perspectives on the specific issues requiring coordination. Ultimately, he outlined clear steps and solutions for resolving these challenges one by one.
Following the meeting, as requested by Vice Mayor Zhang Wenyang, Wanbang Pharmaceutical assigned a dedicated person to liaise with relevant municipal departments and ensure the implementation of several issues identified during the on-site working session. As a result, tasks that would normally take months to complete were resolved promptly, significantly accelerating the progress of the company’s transformation, upgrading, and technology-renewal projects.
