Pharmacology and Toxicology: This product is a typical benzodiazepine antipsychotic medication. It exhibits strong antagonistic effects on both the 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT2A) and dopamine (DA1) receptors in the brain, while also partially blocking dopamine (DA4) receptors. Its blockade of dopamine (DA2) receptors is relatively weaker. Additionally, it possesses anticholinergic (M1), antihistaminic (H1), and alpha-adrenergic receptor-blocking properties. Importantly, extrapyramidal side effects are extremely rare, and it generally does not cause elevated prolactin levels in the blood. By directly inhibiting the ascending activating system within the brainstem reticular formation, this drug exerts potent sedative and hypnotic effects.
