Eat zongzi, burn mugwort—each tradition holds a cherished memory.

May peace abound wherever life's warmth and everyday joys are found.

A sprig of fragrant herb, marking the Double Fifth Festival of the year.

Wishing for favorable weather, abundant rain, and peace, prosperity, and good health.

On the afternoon of June 8, a unique non-heritage bamboo-fan-making activity kicked off enthusiastically at Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group. The event invited 80 employees to appreciate the charm of intangible cultural heritage, explore the artistry of bamboo weaving, and experience up close the timeless allure of this traditional craft.

At the event site, everyone was fully immersed, skillfully weaving bamboo strips up and down using the "pick-two, press-two" technique—carefully alternating between lifting and pressing, their nimble fingers dancing gracefully as they shaped the scattered bamboo into the elegant form of a fan.

Bamboo symbolizes peace and prosperity, as well as success in one’s career. Giving a fan during the Dragon Boat Festival is believed to bring blessings, good fortune, protection against evil, and relief from misfortune. A small fan gently cools the air, stretching out the long, leisurely days of summer. On summer evenings, as you gently wave a woven bamboo fan while listening to cicadas chatter about everyday life, you can brush away the early-season heat—and together, cherish the most delightful memories of summer.

This event was not only an opportunity to share skills but also a meaningful journey of cultural heritage. Participants enthusiastically expressed that, by crafting bamboo woven fans with their own hands, they deeply appreciated the wisdom and charm of this intangible cultural legacy—and are eager to carry forward and celebrate traditional culture.
