Retracing the Red Army Trail, Revisiting the Revolutionary Spirit | A Record of Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group Party Branch's 2023 Red Journey to Wugen

Date:

01 Jul,2023

At 9 a.m., all party members gathered at the Wugen Red Army Valley Team-Building Base. Led by their instructor, the members worked together to tackle challenging activities such as scaling a "snow mountain," skillfully navigating "plum blossom stilts," crossing an "electrical grid," and even "seizing the Luding Bridge." Through these simulated scenarios—based on iconic events from the Red Army's Long March—participants deeply experienced the红军’s extraordinary resilience and unwavering revolutionary spirit, while also strengthening their courage and determination to boldly take the lead.

At the Martyrs' Cemetery of the Second Division of the 13th Red Army, all Party members stood solemnly in silent tribute and laid flowers before the monument to the revolutionary martyrs, deeply honoring their extraordinary achievements. Facing the Party flag, we raised our right fists high and reaffirmed our入党誓词 (oath of joining the Party), further strengthening our original aspirations and commitment while firmly upholding our lifelong dedication to striving for communism.

Reviving history, we reaffirm our original aspirations. At the Memorial Hall of the Second Division of the 13th Red Army, Party members draw inspiration from the pioneering spirit of their predecessors and trace the glorious footsteps of the Party. Guided by a docent, they learn about the entire journey of the Second Division—from its humble beginnings to its remarkable growth and expansion. As we stand before the vivid historical paintings, meticulously preserved written records, and treasured artifacts displayed in the纪念馆, it feels as though we’re engaging in a timeless, red-themed dialogue with the revolutionary martyrs of yesteryear—experiencing firsthand the awe-inspiring intensity and heroic brilliance of those tumultuous years.

Stroll through Huaxi, tracing the red footsteps

After completing the challenge, the Party members visited Huaxi Village in Wugen Town to explore its beautiful rural development. "Mountainside flowers linger as the sun sets late," and following the winding waterway, they came across the crystal-clear Huaxi Stream, which gracefully flows right through the village. Inside the village, the historic Republic-era gateways and quaint old stone houses exude a unique charm, while a thousand-year-old ancient camphor tree spreads its lush canopy overhead. Meanwhile, the exquisite gray-carved sculptures—timeless masterpieces of intangible cultural heritage—add an authentic, weathered elegance to the landscape. Throughout the area, visitors can easily discover a harmonious blend of serene historical sites, breathtaking natural scenery, and poignant red revolutionary elements.
