On the morning of October 11, 2023, Jiang Jufang, Executive President of the Zhejiang Provincial Pharmaceutical Industry Association, and his delegation visited Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group for an inspection and exchange. They were accompanied by Li Li, General Manager of the Pharmaceutical Group, and other senior leaders.
During the visit, Chairman Jiang and his delegation toured the group’s pharmaceutical exhibition hall firsthand, gaining a clear understanding of the company’s pharmaceutical and medical device businesses—including their operational status, development milestones, and core flagship products. They also expressed strong appreciation for Wanbangde Group’s strategic layout across the broader healthcare industry chain.
During the subsequent symposium, General Manager Li presented an overview of Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group’s business structure, financial data, and product highlights. He emphasized that in the future, Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group will focus on developing innovative modern Chinese medicines, with a particular emphasis on cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, and neurological drug categories. The company is committed to building an integrated chemical pharmaceutical platform that seamlessly integrates active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) with finished dosage forms.
At the meeting, General Manager Li raised inquiries regarding opportunities to connect more innovative projects within the province, facilitate the commercialization of research outcomes from universities and research institutions, and attract top-tier scientific talent. He expressed his hope that the Provincial Pharmaceutical Industry Association would serve as a platform to amplify voices, leverage resource advantages and collaborative strengths, and ultimately help drive collective growth and development in the pharmaceutical sector.
At the meeting, Chairman Jiang pointed out regarding the high-quality development of Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Industry:
First, we must fully leverage the company's inherent strengths. While achieving comprehensive growth across our product portfolio, we also need to pursue deep, sustained development by focusing on our areas of expertise in pharmaceuticals, building a robust lineup of core products that are both specialized and refined.
Second, it is important to strengthen communication and collaboration with the local government. Building on and reinforcing existing relationships, enterprises should deepen and expand government support, fully leveraging the policy benefits that the government is actively rolling out for pharmaceutical companies.
Finally, in response to the enterprises' requests, Chairman Jiang stated that the Provincial Pharmaceutical Industry Association will actively facilitate connections and act as a bridge, link, advisor, and supportive partner—helping companies elevate their standards and continuously move forward. Together, medical institutions, research organizations, and enterprises will collaborate wholeheartedly, working hand in hand to dedicate their utmost efforts, responsibilities, and commitment toward the high-quality development of Zhejiang Province’s pharmaceutical industry.
