On the afternoon of March 27, Chen Yijun, Secretary of the Taizhou Municipal Party Committee, visited Wanbangde Group for an inspection and guidance session, accompanied by leaders including Xu Renbiao, Standing Committee Member of the Taizhou Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of Wenling Municipal Party Committee, as well as Wang Zongming, Mayor of Wenling City. Zhao Shouming, Chairman of Wanbangde Group, warmly welcomed Secretary Chen Yijun and his delegation.

At Wanbangde Group, Secretary Chen Yijun attentively listened to Chairman Zhao Shouming’s detailed briefing on the group’s industrial layout, transformation and upgrading efforts, key project construction, industrial revitalization, overseas acquisitions, and the company’s "going out" and "bringing in" strategies. She also gained firsthand insights into the group’s future growth plans. Secretary Chen then toured the pharmaceutical division’s product showroom at Wanbangde Group, where she thoroughly examined the existing product range, including their unique advantages, as well as the progress made in generic drug consistency evaluations and innovative new drug development. She also took note of the strong sales performance of core products like Ginkgo Biloba Dropping Pills. Notably, she learned that Shishan Jiajia Methane Injection—a groundbreaking Alzheimer’s disease treatment developed by the group’s nationally recognized academician-led workstation—has already secured production approval. Expressing her appreciation for the remarkable achievements of the R&D platform, Secretary Chen encouraged Wanbangde Group to steadfastly pursue a path of innovation-driven growth, strengthening its ability to independently develop cutting-edge technologies, tackle critical core challenges, and deliver high-quality products. She urged the company to remain fully focused on scaling up and enhancing its business operations with unwavering determination.

During a warm and friendly conversation, Xu Renbiao, Secretary of the Wenling Municipal Committee, introduced Chairman Zhao Shouming to Secretary Chen Yijun. As a local entrepreneur from Wenling, Chairman Zhao has spent 28 years steadily growing his business—from its humble beginnings in bearing manufacturing all the way to its current prominence. Deeply attached to his hometown, he has been gradually bringing back various industries—once scattered across China and abroad—back to Wenling. After hearing this, Secretary Chen Yijun expressed keen interest in Wanbangde Group’s strategic initiative to relocate its operations home. Chairman Zhao then shared that, over the next five years, Wanbangde Group plans to invest heavily in establishing the group’s headquarters operational system in Wenling, alongside developing a pioneering, multi-billion-yuan health industry cluster that will significantly boost the city’s economic growth. Currently, the group is rapidly advancing three key projects aimed at reshoring its core industries: first, the "China-Africa Medical Technology Park" project focused on medical devices; second, the "Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Project" targeting the pharmaceutical sector; and third, an upgraded bearing industry initiative designed to enhance technological innovation and competitiveness.

Following this, Secretary Chen Yijun and her delegation personally visited the construction site of the Wannongde Group’s China-Africa Medical Science and Technology Park project, where they thoroughly reviewed the project’s progress as well as the challenges and issues encountered along the way. Secretary Chen emphasized that the China-Africa Medical Science and Technology Park project is a key provincial-level initiative led by county and city mayors in Zhejiang Province—and also a top priority for Taizhou City—highlighting its promising future and significant growth potential. She urged all relevant departments to pay close attention and provide robust support, ensuring comprehensive services to accelerate the project’s development. Additionally, she pledged to continuously establish high-level platforms for attracting top talent, helping Wannongde Group overcome obstacles in recruiting critical expertise and, ultimately, driving the company toward sustainable, high-quality growth.

At the conclusion of the visit, Secretary Chen Yijun warmly advised Chairman Zhao Shouming that the economic growth of their hometown relies heavily on pragmatic entrepreneurs who are ambitious, determined to overcome challenges, and committed to driving real-world progress. He urged Chairman Zhao to remain steadfast in pursuing manufacturing excellence, accelerate the return of industries to their home region, and confidently embrace innovative development.
