Tech Month | Step into Wanbangde Pharmaceutical, get up close with scientific research, and embark together on a journey of pharmaceutical exploration.

This year, from May 25 to June 1, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Publicity Department of the Central Committee, and the China Association for Science and Technology jointly hosted the 2024 National Science and Technology Activity Week. Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group kicked off its first-ever "Science and Technology Month" event on May 11. Theme: "A Gathering of Titans for Growth, Driving Innovation to Shape the Future."
To enrich the activities of Science and Technology Month and foster meaningful parent-child interactions between tech professionals and their children, Wanbangde Pharmaceutical Group hosted an employee-led family event on Children’s Day, June 1st. The event invited 15 families to step inside the company and get up close with scientific research, immersing themselves in engaging, hands-on science activities that showcased pharmaceutical innovation—and together embarking on an exciting journey of medical and pharmaceutical exploration!
Exhibition hall & lab tour: Let’s explore the fascinating world of pharmaceuticals together.
The children toured the group’s exhibition hall and formulation laboratory one after another. The intelligent exhibition design, extensive product displays, and cutting-edge equipment sparked their intense curiosity, prompting frequent exclamations of wonder. Led by staff members, the kids even got hands-on experience—trying their hand at sealing ampoules and watching the tablet press in action.
Fun class begins: A quick science lesson on pharmaceutical dosage forms
Following the host’s engaging and easy-to-understand explanations, the children got to know the members of the vast pharmaceutical family and gained a basic understanding of common types of medications, dosage forms, how medicines work, and essential guidelines for administering drugs to children. "These are fever reducers, anti-inflammatory drugs, cough suppressants..." The kids eagerly chimed in, putting their newfound knowledge to the test!
Scenario simulation: prescribing the right remedy— I'm a little doctor!
During the event, the host first provided a detailed explanation on categorizing medications such as antihypertensives and cold remedies. Afterwards, interactive scenarios representing various illnesses were set up, inviting the children to step into the role of little doctors and prescribe the right treatments. The atmosphere at the event was lively, with kids eagerly raising their hands to answer questions—and earning stickers and delightful little gifts in the process!
Little medicine box designer, sketch the medicine box of my dreams!
At the end of the activity, the children became little medicine box designers, sketching their own imaginative and adorable "medicine boxes of the heart." While putting their hands to work and letting their creativity flow, they also revisited and learned about the crucial information printed on actual medicine packaging.
The event concluded successfully amid laughter and joyful conversations. Through this activity, parents and children alike immersed themselves together in the fascinating world of science, discovering the magic of pharmaceutical and medical technology—and relishing the joy of meaningful parent-child bonding. Let’s celebrate science, nurture a love for it, embrace scientific learning, and apply scientific knowledge in everyday life.
